Most hot tub covers have two to four latches, and they rarely all fail at once. If one clip snapped, got stepped on, or went brittle in the sun, you don’t need a new strap kit. You need one lock.

In the bag: 1 female lock body, 1 male prong side, 1 key. No screws are listed for this single kit, so plan to reuse your existing screws or pick a kit that includes them.

Is this your lock? SCL is the side-release (pinch) style: you squeeze the two side arms to open it. If your latch opens with one push-button in the center, you need a Nexus center-release kit instead. The latch takes 1-inch webbing, and the body mounts with a #4 screw.

How it locks: a quarter-turn of the key (90°) locks it. Unlocked, it opens with a pinch, no key needed.
