Fix the lock, keep the strap.

Covers with two straps usually have four latch points. When the push-buttons start sticking or the plastic chalks and cracks, replacing all four keeps everything matched and on the same key routine.

In the kit: 4 male sides with lock, 4 female sides with center release, 4 keys, 8 stainless steel screws.

Is this your lock? Press one button in the center to release = Nexus center-release (this kit). Squeeze two side arms = SCL pinch style. Heat-warped latches near a hot cabinet = look at Fireloc. For 1-inch webbing; the body mounts with a #4 screw.

How it locks: the key turns 90° to lock. Unlocked, the center button opens it.

Tip: replace one latch at a time so you always have a reference for orientation. Keep the spare keys somewhere you’ll find them next spring.
